liminal interplay

teddy's not for scanning

This work illustrates aspects of inter-generational play through a series of digital images created during and after play sessions with my three and a half year old granddaughter.
She was surprised and delighted to discover the ability of the printer to copy our drawings and scan objects, including some of her soft toys.
Subsequently I processed and layered the images that we had created together, merging the boundaries of play/art/play. Exhibited at CMR Interplay exhibition 2015

However when I became too interested in the images, she pulled her Teddy away saying “Teddy’s not for scanning”
